What coffee will you be sending? Are they different every time?
We work with our roaster to bring only the most unique coffees to your doorstep. We search for arabica coffee beans that range from the top coffee producing countries to up and coming regions. We provide information on each coffee that you receive so that you learn more about what you’re enjoying. You will receive a different coffee every month. If you are ordering two bags of coffee a month - both deliveries in that month will be shipped at once and will be the same coffee.
Can I subscribe to a particular coffee?
To keep to our small batch schedule, we do not offer coffee substitutions. There will be one coffee chosen as a subscription per month. Once the next month comes, the coffee will switch so you can brew something new.
What are the subscription options?
You can order either 1 or 2 12 oz. bags per month depending on your personal coffee consumption. You then have the option to pay for an ongoing subscription per month, or you can prepay for either 3, 6 or 12 months. Receive 1 free 12 oz. bag of coffee with a 6 month prepaid subscription. Receive 2 free 12 oz. bags with a 12 month prepaid subscription. Free bag(s) will be shipped at the end of your selected subscription term*. All subscriptions, except for gift subscriptions, are subject to auto-renewal. If you would like to stop your subscription, log in to “Manage Your Account” and click “Manage Your Subscription”, which is supported by Recurring Orders by Bold. This can be accessed from either our online shop or in our email notifications.
*Free bag(s) of coffee will not be shipped if a subscription is cancelled.
Can I get more of the last subscription coffee you sent me?
If you really loved what you received, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to request more! Because our coffees are small batch, we cannot guarantee that we will have an extra supply, but if we do, we would love to ship it to you!
Can I pause my subscription?
If you create an online account with Sweetwaters, then you can skip a month of your subscription by logging into “Manage Your Account” and click “Manage Your Subscription”, which is supported by Recurring Orders by Bold, and we will continue your subscription where you left off. This can be accessed from either our online shop or in our email notifications.
Can I change the amount of coffee I receive with every shipment?
You can! If you would like to add another bag to you subscription, then you can edit your subscription from your “Manage Your Account” on our online shop and by clicking “Manage Your Subscription”, which is supported by Recurring Orders by Bold. This can be accessed from either our online shop or in our email notifications.
Do you have Decaf?
The coffees that we select specially for our subscription service will be caffeinated, but we always have our Decaf House Blend available on our online shop. Orders made on our online shop will be separate from any subscriptions.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you created an online account with Sweetwaters, you are able to cancel your subscription through the “Manage Your Account” portal. The link to do so will be included in our email notifications that are sent to you, or you can go to our online shop and click “Manage Your Account” and then clicking “Manage Your Subscription”, which is supported by Recurring Orders by Bold. You can also send us an email to email@example.com to cancel your subscription.
Prepaid subscriptions cannot be canceled.

Creating your account:
At the point of checkout, you’ll be given the option to create a Sweetwaters account, which will allow you to view past orders and edit personal information. You can access this from the “Manage Your Account” portal on our online shop. If you need to register an account, you can register and even login to your account from our email notifications that we send you. From your account, you can also “Manage Your Subscription”, which is supported by Recurring Orders by Bold, to skip a month, add coffee, or cancel your subscription.

What brew methods do you recommend?
We ship our coffees as whole beans to preserve the quality and freshness. Once ground, these coffees are able to be brewed through typical home brewing applications.
How should I store my coffee?
When storing your coffee, keep the bag airtight and in a cool location. You can also transfer your beans into an opaque, airtight container. We suggest grinding the beans as you need them.
Are your coffees Fair Trade Certified or Certified Organic?
We work with our roaster to choose only the best coffee from different farms around the world. With an emphasis on quality and sustainability, you’ll find that several of our subscription coffees will be Fair Trade, Certified Organic, and/or Smithsonian Bird Friendly. We have information included in each box that lists the certifications, flavor profiles and regional characteristics.
What shipping methods do you use?
Orders are shipped via UPS Ground Shipping.
Is shipping included?
Shipping is free for those who sign up to our subscription service.
When will my coffee ship?
We will fulfill your order within 72 hours of your order and ship your subscription through UPS shipping. Please allow 5-7 business days to receive your subscription.
Where do you ship?
We ship to the contiguous United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. We do not currently offer international shipping, but if you’re interested in our service, then contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can try to work something out.
Can I delay my subscription?
We will ship out the first box once you pay for the subscription. If you would like us to ship your first subscription box at a certain time, you must email us immediately at email@example.com and we will be happy to accommodate.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept traditional bank cards: Visa, MC, AMEX, and Discover.
When will I be billed for my subscription?
If you choose to pay monthly, then you will be charged for your first subscription order and automatically charged for your following orders as they ship. If you prepay for your subscription, then you will be charged for your full subscription once you place your order.
How do I update my subscription billing information?

All subscription orders, except for gift subscriptions, are subject to auto-renewal upon completion of your initial subscription. If you would like to cancel your subscription, you may do so from your “Manage Your Account” portal and clicking “Manage Your Subscription”.
Do you have gift options?
Absolutely! If you would like to make the subscription a gift for someone else, select “Is this a gift?” and enter the recipient's shipping information in the checkout page. Order frequencies vary from either 3, 6 or 12 months and you can send them either one or two bags a month. All gift subscriptions are prepaid and unavailable for refund. Subscription orders that are prepaid for 6 months will receive 1 additional bag at the end of their subscription term, and those who prepay for 12 months will receive 2 additional bags at the end of their subscription term.
Do you offer gift messages?
Yes, on the subscription box landing page, you can include a gift message and we will put the message in your gift box.
Does my gift subscription have an expiration date?
We offer 3, 6 and 12 month gift subscription lengths, which will end automatically at the end of your subscription term.
